Each person must decide for himself whether to
quietly stand by and allow unsustainable cutting to continue or to do
something toward sustainable management of our white pine heritage.
The most important thing the public can do is talk to our elected
officials and to the foresters we pay to manage our public forests.
They're becoming aware that the public cares about the future of white
pines in Minnesota. They welcome public input, and there are several
opportunities for improvement that we can talk to them about.
